Idli, Vada, Dosa batter has at least 66% rice, which spikes your blood sugar significantly as rice, especially that is used for south Indian batter, has very high glycemic index and just a shade or two below the Thai rice. So it is avoidable Even India wheat has a poor index and glycemic load, so rice or wheat in India is not very much interchangeable. But recommendation of fruit juice is not good idea, instead whole fruit is a better option in limited quantity except mango & banana.

If you are working regularly,no harm in having breakfast in moderate quantities.Problem arises only when you overdo it.

As per standard diet programme, avoiding breakfast is not correct. It is always recommeded to take food in small quantities. Breakfast should never be avoided and it is a must because as sson as we get up from sleep, the Physiological system needs energy to run the functions of the Body.. with regard to the items mentioned ,idly is alwys the best food being steam food. It is an altime recommended food. even other items also can be taken but in limited quantities , only factor being they are made of oil. Fruit juices can be a part of the Food program.

Taking those breakfast on dally basis is much harmful to our body. But once in a week they are adaptable. As for juices, they should be taken without sugar since fruit juice itsself contains sucrose, glucose, dextrose and lactose in sufficient proportion

Yes, heavy breakfast is not good for diabetic person. The breakfast must be like eating fresh and seasonal fruits or fruit juice. These will give natural sugar to your system which is good for health.

A cocktail of fruits ( 10 to 12 types of fruits as a fruit salad - about 600 to 800 gms totally ) is my daily breakfast since the last 6 years. And my BS hardly spikes after this. But whereas with a little upma, or bread or chappati, my BS spikes. The main reason why fruits are recommended for breakfast is because morning time ( 4 AM to 12 noon) is cleansing time for our bodies of all its toxins and waste materials. And this needs a lot of energy. Fruits are the easiest to digest food requiring very less energy for digestion, and they are also the best de-toxifiers. Instead, if you eat hard to digest food for breakfast, a lot of energy will be expended for the digestion of the food, and very less energy will be available for cleansing of your system. Hence an all fruit breakfast is the best option for everyone, a diabetic as well as non diabetic. For people with constipation, this breakfast is a boon. Similarly if one is sick ( any sickness) fruits are once again the best option for food, for the same reason, that very little of your body energy will be expended for digestion of your food, and all the energy will be available for fighting the disease in your body. On the whole, fruits should form the major portion of your diet, but it needs to be a variety of seasonal fruits, to provide you with all the nutrients required. Basically, human beings (likes Apes) were fruitarians. But we modified our food habits, the major cause of all the present day diseases.

Always in moderate quantity. Exercise can't burn excess intake of calories so easily.

MORNING BREAK FAST IS MUST. YOU HAVE A WIDE GAP OF 12 HOURS BETWEEN DINNER AND BREAKFAST. SO TO AVOID BREAK FAST IS NOT CORRECT. EAT LIKE A KING IN THE MORNING. EAT LIKE A COMMON MAN IN THE LUNCH. EAT LIKE A POOR IN THE NIGHT.
