Diabetes patients must aware about OSA

In the present study we have shown that preDM and

T2DM are commonly observed and associated with

OSA in extremely obese subjects. Our findings support

the recommendations from the International Diabetes

Federation (IDF) suggesting that subjects with T2DM

should be screened for OSA [7]. If the relationship

between preDM and OSA is verified by others, this may

indicate that obese subjects with preDM should also be

screened for OSA.
