I too would like to know.

Smoking,as you know is very harmful to the lungs in particular and also general health.Your lung capacity gets reduced over time because the minute blood vessels in the lungs that exchange oxygen when you breath gets badly damaged.Diabetes also causes similar damage called diabetic neuropathy.Small blood vessels called capillaries get damaged due to lack of energy and along with them the nerve cells also get damaged. You loose sensation in the feet, and kidneys, liver, eyes etc also get damaged. So,smoking and diabetes cause immense damage to your health.Do not aggravate your health.
