Meditation and yoga are very effective in soothing your mind and toning your body.You will be able to discern and understand every thing properly in their true perspective.But you have to take other measures like diet control,regular exercise and stress free lifestyle.These measures will give you better results when combined with meditation and yoga.You can thereby postpone dependence on medicines.But as and when medication becomes inevitable because of advancing age and aggravating diabetes,you have to accept medication too.
Yoga & meditation would not have direct impact on reducing diabetes. However yoga & meditation does help in ensuring control of blood pressures ( in my case it has come down from 80/120 to 70/110 ) This ensures that risk of heart disease is fairly reduced. Also yoga & meditation helps ensuring that other organs do not reduce their functions, which helps ensure longevity of life. However it is important to keep your sugars at reasonable levels always
