why in type-II diabetic diseases medicine become failed to control sugar level&why insulin injection are compulsory in this type?

some times my medicines have failed to control sugar level & sugar level reach at 400 to 500 in fasting test then i use to insulin injection for control..but some times medicines work properly i don't understand that why medicines have failed sometimes?my medicine detail is piopod-30 mf after the break fast&blisto-4mf after the taking lunch&dinner also

I may be wrong but I think that your efforts to control you sugar levels are not appropriate.The tablets must have been prescribed by a doctor and if you take the medicine as prescribed,there can not be such fluctuations.If the sugar level is not controlled even after medication,then you have to approach the doctor to change the medication or dosages.Where doer the insulin come into the picture?You have to review your medication thoroughly with your doctor.Also,medication alone will not control the sugar level.You should also practice strict diet control,regular and adequate exercise and relaxation techniques like music,yoga,pranayama or meditation. Multi- pronged approach is a must because your fasting level is alarmingly high.

Piopod 30 mf contains two drug combinations viz., Pioglitazone and Metformin.

Pioglitazone is used with a diet and exercise program and sometimes with other medications, to treat type 2 diabetes (condition in which the body does not use insulin normally and therefore cannot control the amount of sugar in the blood). Glimepiride is used along with diet and exercise, and sometimes with other medications, to treat type 2 diabetes (condition in which the body does not use insulin normally and, therefore, cannot control the amount of sugar in the blood). Glimepiride lowers blood sugar by causing the pancreas to produce insulin (a natural substance that is needed to break down sugar in the body) and helping the body use insulin efficiently. This medication will only help lower blood sugar in people whose bodies produce insulin naturally.

The oral hypoglycemic agents (diabetic pills) are effective only if the patient controls the blood sugar with diabetic diet, regular aerobic exercise, weight control, avoidance of alcohol, smoking reduction and careful monitoring of blood glucose. The pancreas of a normal adult contains approximately 200 units of insulin and the average daily secretion in healthy individuals ranges from 30 to 50 units. When you become older, secretion of insulin may become less and less. Hence the anti-diabetic pills may become ineffective as in the case of type 1 diabetic patients. You have to adopt insulin therapy during the later stages of type 2 diabetes.

you may have to take insulin along with tablets as prescribed by your doctor..Regarding tablets you have reached the peak. Dont worry, things will be under control.You have to go for adequate exercises & food control.Never retain this high level of sugar for long !!!

I think you are confused between Type 1 & 2. Type 1 is what require insulin injection compulsorily.

Diabetes is a fundamental disorder. It is comparable with low voltage in an electric circuit. In both cases all connected subsystems will under-perform and will fail in due course. It will affect SEX life also, if diab is not contained. Diab impairs the glucose (SUGAR) & oxygen supply to ALL CELLS of the patient. You cannot compensate the resultant weakness with liquor, food or medicines.

A DIABETES PATIENT (also known as A DIABETIC) need NOT starve. PROPER or APPROPRIATE food can be eaten EVEN FULL STOMACH THRICE DAILY! Try to understand diabetes & conquer it.

While following the Long-wheat diet explained in the article referred below, non-vegetarians can have MEAT/FISH/EGG in moderate quantities as side-dishes/curries.

I was diabetic from 2006; but NOT diabetic from 2009. I studied Diabetes thoroughly, because it was to solve MY problem.
