A diabetic person should not consume jackfruit as it contains high sugar.

Ripe Jack fruit is obviously out of question. However I have taken unripe curries many times and did not see any bad effect on BS reading. Knowledgeable persons may throw more light.

It is ok

It is very sweet and obviously loaded with high sugars that spikes your blood sugar levels at once.Better stop considering such things.

The jackfruit is a good source of carbohydrates (22%) and dietary fibre. A preparation with jackfruit is known as jackfruit meal and is categorized as a low GI meal ( at 75). The low GI could be due to the collective contributions from dietary fibre, slowly available glucose

and un-gelatinised (intact) starch granules in the seed. The fruit is highly nutritious with major nutrients like vitamins C, A and Magnessium, Potassium ( keeping BP low), Phosporous and significant amount of dietary fiber.. Cal is about 95kcal per 100gms. for both raw and ripe. Carbs is 40.0 /100 gms for raw and .23.5 gms for ripened. It is a rich carbs food with high nutritive content

I think it contains sugar,Unriped is ok.

Jackfruit is rich in MAGNESIUM , potassium , phosphorus and many vitamins . Excess consumption gives high caloric count . Benefits outweigh the bad points so it can be taken in moderate quantities in view of the overall health benefits.
