Both of you are close to being normal but you can definitely aim to to reduce the levels Fasting should be close to 100 and PP should be less than 140.It is not too difficult and you may consider the following suggestions:

Management of sugar levels is a tough job but is not impossible if you realize that the task is essentially in your own hands. The doctor or dietician may guide you but ultimately it is you who has to put into practice all that has been learnt. Diet control makes maximum difference in a diabetic condition. Avoid sugar, sweets, and any food that is loaded with sugars like mango, banana etc. Also avoid vegetables like potato, beet, etc that grow underground and contain plenty of starch. Eat more of sprouts, vegetables and greens that give you fiber, minerals and vitamins. Eat less of rice, wheat and other cereals rich in carbohydrates and demand more insulin for converting to energy. The idea should be to reduce consumption by least 200 to 300 calories per day to gain significant results.

After diet, exercise plays a very important role. Walking or jogging for 40 to 60 minutes a day will improve your glucose metabolism significantly and spend about 200 calories.Management of sugar levels is a tough job but is not impossible if you realize that the task is essentially in your own hands. Last but not the least one should lead a stress free life style. Stress is a recognized trigger for diabetes. Practice relaxation techniques like breathing exercises, yoga etc.

You should go for quarterly check ups and annual comprehensive review with an experienced diabetologist and follow the prescriptions scrupulously

Ultimately the most important person in your diabetes management is Y O U.

I am sorry, but it can only be a generalized suggestion, based on my personal experience.Only a consultant can give specific advise after thorough examination.

i beg to disagree with you that only a consultant can give specific advise.in my experience most of the so called diabetologist and dieticians give very generalised advice which may not suit you or are not appropriate of you.it is fellow sufferers who can guide with explanation for every item of food which should be eaten.based on these suggestions that particular person can himself devise his diets and dietary routine which suits him best for optimum results.

trick is to balance your energy giving food i.e.carb,fat and protein.so it is important to know your dietary routine as well as your lipid profile.

Both results are above the desired level. Correct blood sugar level is <100/<140 mg/dL.

Undergo HbA1c test once in every four months.

* Eat less food, more times in a day. If you eat less food, PPBS will be less than 140 mg/dL.

* Do not consume food during night. (You may fast 12 hours daily). If so, fasting blood sugar will be less than 100 mg/dL.

* Exercise (brisk walking) daily for about 30 minutes. If you can't go outside, walk within the rooms for 5-10 minutes before each meal. Daily exercise is a must.

Please see my blogs for more information.
