Hypoglycemia occurs only when you fail to eat for long and indulge in strenuous physical work.Eat frequently in small quantities particularly before exercise. And always plan your activities in such a manner that you have access to some food.If hypo does occurs frequently consult your doctor for revising medication.

You can keep some small packets of biscuits in your office table drawer, glove compartment of your car, your brief case or shoulder bag or scooter dicky.Just leave them there to be used only in emergencies.

There is no point in getting depressed. Since changes in medication has not helped you better you think of other means like diet control and increased exercise For example, cut your diet intake by about 200 cal per day by reducing one roti or idli or portion of rice at each meal. You can cut some more of these carbohydrate rich foods by replacing with boiled sprouts twice a day or boiled vegetables.Increase your walking by about 15 minutes a day.If you practice these things for a period of 2 to 3 weeks you are sure to get results. If you review your daily intake of of food, daily exercise and other habits like enough sleep etc you can certainly come up with practical ideas.

Since you are already aware of your OCD and depression, half the battle is won These two problems like siblings of diabetes.Being C A at 56 yrs age ,you must be leading a busy life, more like a pressure cooker situation.Take long breaks and relax.Yoga and pranayama ,if possible. My experience with depression is worth noting. My HBA!c was 6.5 in April 2012.On my doctor's advise I stopped medication for depression from may 2012.The A1c has slowly and steadily crept up to 7.8 by Mar 2013.I think it was due to change in medication.I have restarted the medication from Mar 2013 and changed the medication for diabetes also.I am slowly improving. Please read the blog written by KKMMSS today. It is very educative.

first of all get rid of worries, and be away from depression. this is the first step towards management of your blood glucose level. live healthy worry free . do whatever you want to do and reduce the intake of sugary food, do keep walking in morning and evening along with prescribed medicines (do not look at the doses, let your doctor be responsible for that...after all you are paying him then why to buy worries on that?). It will be absolutelwithin the normal range.
