I have checked my sugar on 20.4.2013, is it necessary to check again in this month

Monthly checking does not give any trends.Better at least once in 4 or 5 days at different times during the day.If the diabetes is severe,even more frequent checking is advisable.You have to use home monitoring as a tool for fine tuning your diet and exercise patterns.

It depends on your sugar variations. if frequent then go for twice a week, else once in 15 days is okay if you are a patient of long period.

If your sugar is more than the reference range, check it once a week .
