It is necessary to keep insulin only in fridge .
Hello, if you have pen type then no problem to keep insulin in the box itself.
No need to keep in fridge. Its handy for travel too.
You can get pen type , refill, needles from pharmacy.
I was also worried about this issue before going to a place without fridge and power for 15 days. My doctor told me that most of Insulin cartridges ( pen) , in use , can be safely kept outside fridge and at room temperature not above 30 degree celcius for about a month. And I did exactly that all through my travel and field visit . But in summer , when temperature may hower around 40 to 50 degree celcius one may use insulin cooling wallet which uses simple water and costs about Rs 1600. Most of insulin are imported from countries where temeprature is generally below 30 degree celcius. Unfortunately , insulin making MNCs have not addressed temp issue in India properly.
Although a Type 2 Diabetic my present intake of insulin 30/70 is 48 + 20.
I am also a frequent traveller and forced to stay in situation where I cannot get to a fridge to store insulin. I use the silicagel alkathine bags or thermocole filled packaged in a plastic container the lid of which can be tightly closed. My insulin is kept sandvwitched between these frosen stuff and for hours it will remain cool. Ofcourse as I stay in some place, I request my friends to freeze the spare silica packs I carry and replace them in my container. The insulin so kept is as good as being kept in a fridge. Originaly this cool carrier was provided to me by LILY and later from pharmacies I could get sufficient stock of silica bags / packs. ...Please try this method and keep your insulin cool.

Dear Shishupal,
This is ankit thakkar.
I have almost similar case as with U. I am 28 and I have type-1 diabetes. i also use 30/70 himunsulin twice a day.
And My job is also here and there.
its true that insulin should be kept in fridge but the insulin which u r using daily if its outside fridge then its not the prob.
so what u can do is buy only one insulin bottle and when it about to finish then buy new one before 2-3 days and again continue for some day and but new one again before 2-3 days.
U have to kept insulin in fridge only if u want to keep for long time other wise room temprature is good enough for insulin to be safe.
So dont worry, if u dont have fride then u can keep insulin at cool place like near water bottle or where atleast room temp can be maintained.
Thanks
Ankit Thakkar.
