What should be diet schedule for a diabetic patient ? What simple precautions are suggested for such a patient ?

Idli, Dosa, Chapathi good for breakfast --- lower blood sugar

Prepared from Rice powder items -- Appam, puttu Etc will increase sugar .

Also avoid Rice from lunch & dinner.

Eat more green salad. Try OATS for breakfast.

HAVE YOUR BREAKFAST LIKE A KING, LUNCH LIKE A PRINCE AND DINNER LIKE A BEGGAR. Dont take full diet once at a time rather take small diet at every interval of 1-2 hrs. Be active, practice yogasan and pranayam regularly. AVOID TENSION and live with positive attitude. Eat low caloric food,

There is no such as a diabetic diet .You should avoid all foods loaded with sugar like sweets,very sweet fruits etc.Also avoid root vegetables like potato,beet,sweet potato etc.Cereal grains like rice and wheat should be reduced to the possible extant.Eat more vegetables and greens.Eat more times but in lesser quantities.How much you eat should match with how much physical activity you are doing.That means the amount of calories you consume must be spent by physical activity by the end of the day.Will power and awareness are essential.
