My partner is type 2 managed by medication and normally doing very well (weight loss 2.5 stone, active - bg down to pre diabetes levels!).
Since Monday he has had severe back ache, nausea and generally unwell) two visits to doctors later. First gave ritinidine for acid reflux (common apparently due to heart and diabetes medications). The second wants to rule out aneurism in central artery running down through the chest to feed organs and legs (waiting for call to go in for scan). So all under control. My question is he can hardly eat anything he feels so bad. I’m very worried about him not having enough. Any ideas? He’s had a weetabix this morning at 8am. 2 spoonfuls of porridge at 12am and a mouthful of banana just now 2.40. That’s been the pattern for the previous two days also. Is this enough? His blood glucose strangely was 10 this morning! So much higher than normal. I do t quite know what to do. He’s gone to bed now! Help gratefully received. Thank you
