Low Carbo High fat diet required for diabetics

I have been advised by an elderly gentleman that for diabetic patients should have "Low Carbo High fat Diet as prescribed by the American Diabetic Society. Is it true? My diabetoligist insist for Low fat food only. Kindly advise on this.

You should be listening to trained medical professionals . Doctors , diabetic clinicians and diabetes specialists . No one else. Never heard of a high fat diet helping ANYONE! High fat leads to obesity and heart disease just to say a few .

Only if with high carb diet not with low carb diet. The main cause of obesity and deceases is high carb processed food.

Well unless you are a trained dietician or a doctor you should not be advising ppl to try diets without their doctors recommendation . Especially when they have diseases . Just saying.
