Tooth Extraction
A massive thank you to so many kind kind people who took the time to help me out.True goodness. Dentist agreed, no need to stop although I had already missed one. Offending tooth is out. Couple of stitches to close and so far so good. I might miss tonight’s dose so 2 tabs in total. Such a terrible worrier

Tooth extraction
I am having a tooth out at the dentist at midday and haven't been looking forward to it. I am on 3mg Pred and reading the post about the broken tail bone - wondered if a slight increase might help? Last extraction was pretty unpleasant and although I am hoping this one won't be too bad I am not counting

Anticoagulant and tooth extraction
I had a
tooth
extraction
on Friday, but didn't think and wasn't advised to stop rivaroxaban the day before, as there was a 20 hour gap. Once I got home, the blood began to appear and built up to a somewhat worrying level despite biting down on gauze wads.

I’m having a tooth out next Wednesday. I’m taking 3mg of prednisolone. I’ve been off AA for nearly a year. What is the advice for this procedure please?

Tooth extraction...again!
Got to have an upper tooth extracted on Tuesday. I take edoxaban 30mg. Last time I am almost sure I didn't have to stop taking it and there were no problems. I phoned the dentist to check and he said ask your GP. I KNOW i asked my GP last time and was told "ask your dentist".....but despite this

Wisdom tooth extraction on Apixaban
I know this is a well worn path!! As I was having extraction with dentist I'd never met, I specifically asked his preference and was told to continue Apixaban as normal.I did omit this morning's dose in spite of that. He was a super star asked if I'd eaten then said "I understand you've had conflicting

Tooth Extraction Enquiry
I'm having the remains of a broken tooth extracted in two days time and because its apparently going to be a bit tricky, I'm going to be sedated. On offer is, - sedation by gas (nitrous oxide & oxygen) - intravenous sedation ( midazolam) The first option seems to have almost immediate recovery afterwards

This is my first

for some 15 years and my biggest molar (which has cracked) which caused an infection, now on antibiotics for 5 days. Should I increase my Steroids for a few days?

Puzzled
I may be in need of a
tooth
extraction
. I am told by both Endocrinology and my Internist that it is OK to go ahead and take these type of medications now, but that is not the impression I received from my primary dentist. Another doctor, who does my annual breast exam suggested I wait.

Tooth extraction
Got a dodgy wisdom tooth. My dentistgave me a choice to see "how it goes" or extraction. He said he wants me to stop my Apixaban 24 hrs before and 6 hours after. Im a bit worried about stopping Apixaban. What are the odds of me havinga stroke.. I am 70 yrs old.

Update on Tooth Extraction
So, for a anyone with an imminent
tooth
extraction
...try not to worry. Its not something I'd choose to have done but it's been easier than expected. Reassurances from here helped enormously, and I felt well prepared for the experience.

Tooth extraction and Prednisolone
First, thank you for all the fantastic help and advice...now my question. 9 months post diagnosis and (mainly) tapering well from 15mg to 9mg.In a day or so, I need to have a tooth removed. 63 and with "my generation" teeth. The dentist has advised to double dose on the day of the procedure. That seems

Further Update on Tooth Extraction
So!...its day 5 since my extraction with sedation and I've picked up a few useful tips for those who mentioned they were having the same done. - my cavity/wound didn't stop 'oozing' blood for almost 10hrs. Keep a little pot or some tissue to spit blood into as swallowing too much blood can make you
