Wisdom tooth extraction on Apixaban

I know this is a well worn path!! As I was having extraction with dentist I'd never met, I specifically asked his preference and was told to continue Apixaban as normal.I did omit this morning's dose in spite of that.

He was a super star asked if I'd eaten then said "I understand you've had conflicting advice regarding apixaban" I explained and he was pleased I'd omitted as he would have preferred me to leave out last night's as well.!!

All done, lots of dire warning what might happen, broken spur on jaw, hole in sinus, having to stop and refer to York hospital, or would I like to leave it and be referred instead with an indefinite time scale!!! but all well!! Not even a stitch!! oh and happy to use non adrenalin localxx

I had an extraction which necessitated cutting the gum to get the roots out and then an implant. No problems at all apparently. I’d 2 non adrenaline inj at the start and stopped my Apixaban the night before

I had mine out at a dental hospital soon after they emerged and had an amazing experience on the gas they gave me!! Still remember though it was well over 60 years ago!

As a child I had 'gas' at the dentists. Scary thinking back, he was the only one there apart from nurse ( oh and dogs and cats in waiting room!!) I didn't want to wake up as in my dream they hadn't finished!!

I didn’t want to wake up as it was all so beautiful and I hadn’t wanted to leave! Rather like my one and only acid trip though different experiences.
