Hi All, I am Scott and I am 38 and DX'd with PD about 40 days ago. Right side Rigidity, left foot and toe tremors, thumb tremor, facial tremors, right arm not moving when i walk. All Right Side so far. I am taking Azilect and Meripex.
I am starting to realize this is real, the gut punch is fading. I still sometimes wonder why, I am trying to eat better, exercise more, etc etc..I read alot fo internet sites.
I hate the meds... Sore Gut, weird dreams, taste issues, low BP, sudden sleep is the best. good thing i DVR my shows, then i can watch them again.
hope to post more as i go on.....
Thanks All....

I am sorry that you have PD but welcome you to the site. My diagnosis came almost 10 years ago and I still have only left side involvement. No two PD sufferers have the same prognosis but reading others stories helps me. I hope it helps you.
Hi Scott....I was diagnosed in June of this year so not too far before you. Mine is right side (unfortunately my dominant side) and has affected my right arm, right leg and right foot. I have only had a few instances of balance issues but I have noticed I am more "clumsy" than I used to be.
I am on Stalevo, Azilect and COQ10 and have also experienced low BP, some minor GI upset and what I can only describe as extreme fatigue at times.
I have also been grappling with the diagnosis as I was very active before. Right now I am trying to feel my way around and determine where my limits are and see if I can continue some of my favorite activities.
I too am trying things out also. Has anyone found a activity that reduces or makes there symptoms minor, I found mine in going out and long range shooting. makes me feel good. I told my doctor about this and he said its not uncommon at all, but they aren't sure why...
Hi, is your name to be sbtexas eller Scotty, I myself are en Aussie, hense thename. My father had it, his sister had it now iv'e got it. So welcome to the club. I only started writing on this site last night, it's interesting, lot of good tips. I take Stalevo, Requip depot, and Azelect. I am on the waiting list for a DBS. By the way, I now live in Sweden.
Hi, I am 55 and was diagnosed a year and a half ago, no visibal tremors yet just off balance, legs always tired which is a challenge since my job has me standing most of the time. I do like to walk listening to music which helps me move my arms more naturally and I do Richard Simmons Jazzersize. I am currently only taking Meropex the only side efffect I am having is not sleeping well. I do find the more stressed I am the harder it is for me to get my hands to work so I just have to tell myself to calm down and take my time.
Trying to take life one day at a time and live it to the fullest, just went to Cozumel last month and swam with the dolphins and had an absolute blast, am already planning a return trip.
Thank You all for the posts... it does help hearing others stories. and yes kuglin5, i also find stress to be a real Pain in the butt with PD.. I too have to try and relax and breathe and then i find i am not so figidity.
