Concerning. I do take entacapone and have not noticed any change in my gut. Opicapone requires a much lower dosage and likely would be a better choice for those in a position to get it.

I take Entacapone with 2 of my 4 doses of Sinemet as directed by my neurologist & also hadn't noticed any problems with my gut. Might be worth getting my iron level tested. But that might explain why I haven't got on well with the probiotic Symprove!!

I take Opicapone but have a long-running issue with reduced iron levels. I believe iron has a role in some of the biochemistry going on in dopaminergic neurons.

Yes it does. That's why I took myself off of it. It took me a few months to get it fixed.
