I'm sorry you all are going through this. The fastest and friendliest way to learn the most about PD is to join the Zoom calls MBAnderson is so nice to host. Lots of nice experienced people who will welcome you with warmth and kindness.
You might also consider adding vitamin B1 (Thiamine) as many members have had good results using it to reduce their PD symptoms significantly. It doesn't work for everyone, but even the gold standard doesn't work for everyone. It can be challenging for some people to find their optimal dose of B1, but with time and persistence, many are able to find their optimal dose and best effects of B1. B1 has an excellent safety profile and has proven compatible with most PD prescription medications.
Here is a list of benefits that have been reported on this forum from members successfully using B1 :
I second the recommendation for vitamin B1 which is also known as high dose thiamine. Also cinnamon and Qigong. Implement the thiamine and the cinnamon one at a time and see how one works before proceeding with the other:
• High-dose thiamine. Dosing instructions and other information at the links. Allow four months for full effect: b1parkinsons.org/
Hubby had the falling backwards problem and was able to fix it with physical therapy. For disease progression, give ambroxol a try. It’s hard to get but we order it over German Amazon. Sorry to hear about her diagnosis…it’s not easy.
