Couldn’t having MDs being more aware of PD help in early detection? We have seen 2 MD, neither had a clue about PD, or a sniff test or inquired about sleep.

To be honest unless the person has experience with a family member or friend with these conditions I doubt they will make the necessary lifestyle changes. Everyone already knows diet and exercise and keeping a sensible weight is crucial in avoiding heart disease and cancer. But most people don’t modify their lifestyle to avoid these until they are already sick. I doubt Alzheimer’s or PD would be any different, maybe even less so as they don’t sound as scary as the big C.
