I'm about to purchase the CUE 1 device from NeuroTech for my husband. However it has just occurred to me to query whether this would have any effect on his Atrial Fibrillation, albeit asymptomatic. I'm inclined to think it wouldn't but would be interested to hear from others in this position who have bought or are intending to buy this device.
CUE 1 device: I'm about to purchase the CUE... - Cure Parkinson's
CUE 1 device
Can you buy the cue1? I can’t see on their website
do you know if it works well?
On the Charco website they have a QandA page which I think covers your question. They are great at replying to emails if you want an in-depth answer.
My husband has Parkinson’s,and he has had his Cue for about 4 months.we live in East Lothian, and 2 of their team came and delivered it personally, and spent time with us showing us how to use it.Sadly it hasn’t so far had a positive effect, but I am wondering if the problem lies in the fact that my husband has no sense of rhythm.he can’t clap in time to music, and was a danger to life on the dance floor. When he has the device on for walking,he doesn’t pick up the steady vibration as being a signal to step forward. We have tried recalibrating on the app,but no difference,so I think we may need to return it.
Interestingly,we bought the vibration devices that are meant to calm restless legs, which is a problem he’s had since he was young, and they have certainly calmed the symptoms down, though not completely.
I really hope it works! I think it’s good to know that with some folks it gives immediate results, but with others it can take a few weeks or even months for the brain to react,so don’t be discouraged if it doesn’t seem to give a reaction straight away.I’m a numpty with technology, but found the app you can put on your mobile very easy and useful. You can change the length of vibration, and the space in between each “ buzz” to help you find the best sequence to give optimum help.
Thank you . I've looked at the YouTube video which seems to be explaining things very clearly so as a non techy person also I hope I can manage it too! Husband is a dinosaur 🦕 😅
My husband has AFIB and his CUE 1 doesn’t bother it. Has had the Cue for about 6months now.
Thank you. Is the CUE1 helping him much ?
He says yes, he can tell a difference. He can tune it with his phone to help control the tremors. Quite fascinating to watch! He panicked one day when he couldn’t get it to work. I did a reset on it and it came right back up. That is when I realized how much it must help him. He also uses a tri-plane oscillator and Theracycle. Both of which I highly recommend. He has used them for over 10 years.
Thank you. I'm wondering what a tri- plane oscillator is ? I've looked at the Theracycle but as we have a stationery cycle in daily use and have just invested in a gym quality treadmill that is all we have room for !! Both are proving useful.
I have used it 2 months with no noticeable improvement
That's disappointing for you. We have high hopes. I'll post on here how he gets on.....should be here anyday now.
Well the CUE1 arrived today and to say that my husband is ecstatic about it is an understatement! He felt the difference immediately particularly when getting in and more so getting out of a car. It's normally quite a palaver but he got in and out with ease! We are looking forward to the days ahead .
