"Patients wear earclip electrodes that deliver a small electrical current to the brain to help regulate brain cells’ electrochemical signals and return them to a balanced, normal functioning state."

Feasibility of Using Cranial Electrotherapy Stimulation for Pain in Persons with Parkinson's Disease 2010 ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articl...

"Conclusion: In spite of the limitations, the present study met the goals of an initial study. Our findings suggest that using CES at home is feasible in the PD population without serious unintended effects and there may be a decrease in pain for some persons. A larger study is needed to extend our findings, and the study provided methodological guidance for future studies."

I've just begun using the vagus nerve e-stim technique and I think it might be working for the panicky-spazzy times that happen sometimes. I'm using the earclip - to - shoulder patch pathway. (Left side) I tried the two-wires-one-ear path and thought it was useless. I don't think I'd want to try ear-to-ear anything (alpha-stim). But I probably will sometime.

would you be willing to share which one you ended up buying and how you use it?

The power pack is a push-button drugstore unit branded "accu-relief" that might have cost $35. I have a couple others byTENS I haven't tried this way yet. Of course none of them have the "patented pattern" of Alpha Stim. Or do they...? Standard sticky rubber patch goes on left shoulder blade: clippy thingy goes on the "strega?" of left ear.

I hope that shows up. Right now I only have one pad of the cilp active, but I'll rig a Y cable to power them both (from the. same output wire) at some point. I'm not sure how much it helps, yet. Turn up the power till you feel it, then turn it down a notch.

I looked into this device. It is very expensive to get it to Canada so I was waiting to see if anyone else had good success

there are versions that are under 200 bucks and one that is over 1500. Hard to tell what's what.

I do not have PD but my husband does. I have the machine and have successfully used it for depression (the one with ear clips). My husband has not tried it. The device was expensive. I still use it but only occasionally.
