Has anyone heard anything SPECIFIC to pd regarding DVC=Stem in the Caymans?
They seem to have good reviews and I talked to a very knowledgeable patient coordinator (guessing a sophisticated salesperson)) but they have NO reviews or testimonials specific to pd claiming HIPAA. I said: "HIPAA is irrelevant if people WANT to share a good experience? I would want to encourage as many as I could if it worked for me??" The answer was that they allegedly tried something like that and people were overwhelmed. I also offered that they could share de-identified data and the answer was still no.
That aside, they do seem to have a high-end operation. I just don't wanna drop $30K (including 5-7 days travel with a companion [required])on health--tourism if the stem-cell treatment is not viable.
Avoid. Period. No one has demonstrated a particularly safe, nevermind effective, stem cell treatment for PD. If they can produce documents that demonstrate safety and efficacy then post them here for people to review. If they can't do that, you already know the answer.
Good website Dave. (On an related note, I found this article adjacent to yours (further) defrocking David Sinclair.)
” As a stem cell scientist, I’m insulted by his unsubstantiated claims. At best, he will lead the unaware astray; at worst, he will diminish the credibility of all of us who do serious research with stem cells.”
Yep. Scam. Period. Of course they are compelling--scam artists always are.
And sorry to pile on, but it's horrifying that anyone would take advantage of PWP's (or anyone, for that matter). For the most part, if they are charging you, it is a scam. Stem cell therapy is still experimental. Research subjects are usually PAID--not the other way around!
