That's a good question.

I have been in a clinic in Thailand for my friend who has injured his spinal cord.

They told me they helped many patients with multiple sclerosis and alzheimer.

So i guess it might work for Parkinson's too?

WRONG. I am personally familiar with the clinic fraudulently offering such “help” (StemCells21, Soi RuamRudee, Bangkok). S-C-A-M

The kind of stem cells being used in treatments being offered by these clinics will survive in the brain for about a day, in the unlikely event they get that far. Here is one of the world's leading experts discussing the matter:

Park bear is right. All these clinics are selling snack oil. I had a detailed correspondence with a German clinic which claimed to use skin cells from the patient and grow them in the laboratory and reinject into the patient body. they offered the treatment to me at a cost of more than100'000 euro. Later on when I posted it on HU , a gentleman from German health department contacted me and asked for their quotation. He told that the clinic has to face a legal action against selling unproven treatment. Long story short, it's all fraud

Yes, but there is hope that one of the several ongoing trials (3 that I've heard of) using stem cells will pan out. It's not that it's a baseless science, only that each step is very complex and requires sophisticated processes. These all have to be worked out and tested. But until then, it's a safe bet that they are all scams.

you are right. there are several legitimate trials in progress which include 1. ISC HpNSc I'm Australia 2. Japanese trial 3. Chinese trial.

It will take at least another 5 to 6 years to come into the market (provided the trials are successful )

well i have had stem cell treatment in china afew years ago it dont work an its very expensive gigi forget about it use your money some were else have a good holiday gigi maybe some one might have a cure this year who knows but keep your fingers crossed regards john,

My husband had stem cell therapy 3 years ago. It did not work for PD, BUT it fixed his adrenals - normal temperature after a lifetime of low body temp. Here are my observations. We both think that he has mercury toxicity (very similar MO to PD). He had that improperly treated, which made PD symptom much worse. Now following Andrew Cutler Chelation protocol which has caused changes, It is not all down hill now. Any changes - good or bad - are good. The plan is to detox ( probably another 2 years) from mercury then give stem cells another go, but this time using stem cells derived from live birth cesarean, rather than his 70 year old stem cells derived from his non existent body fat. Do not discount Stem cells, but make sure 1) right kind of stem cells

2) you are not mercury toxic - is really messes everything up at the mitochondrial level

I am not sure about this but I don't think Stem Cells have been FDA approved. I wouldn't touch them until they are.
