Gut health is critical for reversing the illness process. After all, we produce over 70% of our dopamine in the gut during the biopterin cycle (part of methylation).
There are a number of probiotics that can help with the gut microbiome and these should be chosen according to individual need.
More important is our food - we must eliminate all toxic and inflammatory foods (grains, animal dairy, sugar, caffeine, etc) and eat whole foods of many textures and colours. We need lots of good protein too.
And even more important than that is finding the causes of YOUR symptoms. We know that your causes will be some combination of trauma/stress, toxins and/or infection.
I have been taking the BiotiQuest Sugar Shift for 6 weeks and have noticed a significant improvement. I am currently making my own yogurt with it and that works even better. I use one capsule in about 6 oz of milk.
Thanks, my husband has been taking it now for 3 weeks. He is sleeping better and has regular bowel movements, which were not consistent before.
Recently I saw a documentary, My Disease Our Revolution. It is about Mannitol for Parkinson's. I know some on this blog take it. The documentary was very encouraging. I know that SugarShift is somehow connected with Mannitol too. So I've emailed them asking more and if her husband takes Mannitol, but have not heard back yet. My husband would like to try Mannitol but not sure about taking it with SugarShift.
Don McCammon (who first tried it Parkinson's) said that when he had this problem he cut the dose back and added alphagalactosidase. It is an enzyme, better known as Beano, taken before a meal to prevent gas and other negative issues.
We just got mannitol this morning and my husband has started taken it.
I am still waiting to hear from Biotiquest concerning taking it with SugarShift. Here is a link with more info on mannitol outthinkingparkinsons.com › articles › mannitol, Mannitol and Parkinson's Disease: A Review - Out-Thinking Parkinson's. You will probably have to google it. Thanks for your reply.
