I saw a post about a Symprove Probiotics PK trial. There are no results yet:

Went to the Symprove site us.symprove.com/

and found this link to a BBC podcast. Start at 6:42: bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m0006zvs

Looks like it is $78 a month. Less than I expected (beats the sticker shock of ketone esters!): us.symprove.com/products/sy...

I'm not sold. But I'm curious.

I tried switching to PD but I found it depressing so I went back to PK. I know it's kind of stupid :)

I gave it a month or so, but didn't buy more. I thought I would continue with other fermented food products but did not keep to that regimen either. I might try it again. It looks like the Parkinson's symprove study hit the doldrums. The IBS symprove study showed some IBS symptom severity score (IBS-SSS) efficacy in 4 weeks. onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi...

My feeble understanding of probiotics is that there should be 18+ soil based strains and 50 billion + CFU per, yet their website says Symprove is made up of only 4 strains of bacteria, but I couldn't find anywhere where it said what they are, which is the biggest red flag to me.

It did make me wonder, tho, if & when I do take a probiotic, I should take it 1st thing in the morning on am empty stomach with water so as not to trigger digestion - Symprove's primary & only claim to originality?

Perhaps as you suggest other prebiotics, not served in water can be taken first with water. I just hope who ever is maintaing quality control includes no known toxic soil based pathogens!
