NO LONGER SPILLING MY COFFEE...

- 5 months after starting TTFD, I finally gave up on TTFD because—I seemed to be in a never-ending cycle of return of symptoms and yet another dose reduction required. During that period, I did try sublingual, but I found letting a tab dissolve a hassle and it appeared I was going to need more than one.

- 2 weeks ago, I started B1 HCL at 1000mg a day. At 14 days first return of symptoms at HCL 1400mg—Improvements are numerous and the future is bright…

- Oh BTW—I am don’t have the patience to be a good follower of Protocol. It is entirely possible that I started at a too high of dose… Especially considering 33mg TTFD was my last return of symptoms. TTFD is thiamine tetrahydrofurfuryl disulfide. (I only took a 2 week break between changing types of B1.)

- I do not recommend TTFD—It is near impossible to divide doses, and it causes a garlic taste in your mouth. The smallest dose available (outside of Japan) is 50mg.

I’ve been puzzling over your second paragraph. You say symptoms return, then you say they improve. Could you clarify?

Clarifying: Seeing improvement one day but could not sleep that night.

was it an evening dose? What is your dosing regimen? Any other supplements like b complex and magnesium? Are you taking L/C?

C/L 1-1/2 tab 4 times a day. Currently taking all B1 early morning.

I'm a supplement junkie, have been last 40 yrs.

This sounds so hopeful! So, at 14 days, with increasing to 1400mg, you say you had a return of symptoms. But you were doing great before that last increase I guess. And now you can adjust the dose back to what helped and the road ahead is bright.

My husband is doing well on thiamine too. He uses Dr. Clark's and is finding 3000mg working pretty well. Says his nighttime drool has improved. And he has increased motivation. Best, Violet

I had improvements, but still had symptoms of PD. Return of symptoms refers to symptoms that became worst .

I got that.

Hi Gcf51

Sorry can you please clarify your message. What dose of B1 are you taking that has made a significant difference?

Tx

Everybody will have their own sweet spot. I OD at 1400mg and I am now taking 1200mg of B1hcl.

So at 1200mg B1 HCL you have great improvement?
