Magnesium L Threonate: has anyone had good... - Cure Parkinson's
Magnesium L Threonate
citicoline helped my brain fog
Magnesium L-threonate has been shown in one human study to improve cognition (learning and memory). You do need to take 1.5g-2g because the elemental magnesium in it is low.Everything you’ve ever wanted to know about magnesium L-threonate -bebrainfit.com/magnesium-l-...
You could try Mannitol. See my post. If you do, I’d start with a teaspoon and go from there. Maximum dose1tbs.
Took MLT for about 6 months with no effect. But the again I didn't have brain fog........I think
The literature supports use of magnesium Threonate. But there are at least 7 different magnesium salts (complexes) that are variably absorbed/used by different parts of the body, so supposedly having a mixture is overall better. Bioptimizers makes Magnesium Breakthrough with those different “forms” of magnesium. My wife takes that. When we added Magnesium Threonate, there was no change. So no need to take both for her. But the vast majority of people need supplemental magnesium in some form. As far as brain fog, that is usually a sign of neuroinflammation. Certainly Citicholine has benefit for many by increasing the acetylcholine function. So about 500 mg daily is suggested to be tried by Dr. Laurie Mischley. You might start with 250 mg daily. But to reduce neuroinflammation, using a good curcumin supplement would my first suggestion. There are so many brands, each claiming superior absorption. For what its worth, I use TetraCumin-SR from Tesseract Medicine. This 4-molecule form is reportedly the active form used in the body, and the delivery system greatly improves bio-availability, so the same dose has more effect. My back pains and stiffness are gone using this (and other things).
I also recommend Citicholine
Rock Steady Boxing.
I'm going twice a week for 90-minute classes. The first half-hour is to warm up. The workouts are great. Friends are telling me that I look and sound better. I feel better.
Good luck!
