B1 helping another disease but with biotin. Do you think biotin could help with PD with b1?
I found this from 2017: High-dose Biotin Triples Relapse Rate in Primary-Progressive MS

Thank you, like b1 hcl doesn't build up , could the type of biotin taken buildup, I'm wondering if it was water soluble, is their such thing
This July 2021 meta analysis says it is likely beneficial in progressive MS and makes no mention of any warning about increased inflammation, just the fact that high dose biotin can affect the accuracy of certain tests.

I think it makes sense to include biotin with high dose thiamine therapy given its efficacy in Basal Ganglia disease. Parkinson's disease is acquired basal ganglia dysfunction (so is autism btw).

Many genetic forms of disease are indistinguishable from the acquired form - they share the same course even though causation is different. ALS is a good example.
Thanks for sharing this info. I hope others on this forum pick up on adding biotin to Dr. Costantini's HDT protocol.
*Dosage in the referenced case study was 5 to 10 mg/kg/d for biotin and 40 mg/kg/d for thiamin 1:4 ratio (200mg biotin/800mg thiamine in divided doses daily).
In the high dose Biotin study for MS referenced above, participants were given 300mg biotin and no thiamine. This study lacks common sense and ignores synergy between biotin and thiamine.
Biotin supplementation interferes with some lab tests, this is well known and needs to be taken into consideration when starting biotin therapy.

That is an extremely high dose of biotin! The supplements I have are measured in micrograms not mg. Interesting.
