A recent post on the use of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) reminds me of an old article on gou teng (see below).
I bought some a year ago but never came to using it. Does anyone have experience of gou teng?
Parkinson‘s has probably been around for a long time so there is some value in looking at traditional treatments as well as new ones. Chinese medicine has been around for millennia.
I tried Gou Teng. At four grams dosage, which was less than the recommend dose, it caused me diarrhea, so that was the end of that experiment. Also tried Bai Shao and Huang Qi. Each of those caused me dystonia.
Thank you p_b. Not very encouraging 😕. I won’t rush to try the one I bought. If anyone had a similar or better experience with gou teng, I would be very interested to hear about it.
