Herbs with anti-PD effects & the science on this.

Hi everyone, I'm busy messaging with my herbalist about how to tweak my current prescription to be more PD combatting, and I thought you might be interested in this article I found. I had no idea there was so much science on herbs and PD!

I hope this opens up some new avenues, especially for people who feel they've tried everything?

Dr Laurie Mishley's data makes a convincing argument for herbs & supplements greatly slowing progression, with gingko biloba being the No 1 supplement that those doing very well are taking.

It's one thing to pick and chose your supplements yourself; it's another to have a medical herbalist make you up a tailor made tincture; for me it is formulated to cover all sorts of symptoms and conditions. My joints are soooo much better for it, as are my adrenals. One of these days I'll get around to jumping ship to a Chinese medicine doctor but I have to say I'm being very well supported by this herbalist at the moment.

Have a look for a local herbalist here. If you have a choice, then you can ask them if they have experience with it; I would say the older they are the more likely it is! It's a pretty common condition now.

Just be aware - and make sure they're aware - that some excellent herbs such as Gingko biloba and St John's Wort do change the rate at which the liver/body processes medications. They should know all that.
