A compound that occurs naturally in herbs, berries and other fruits was able to prevent — and even reverse — the effects of Parkinson’s disease in early tests on mice, a new study has found.
The research, published in the journal Science Translational Medicine, found that farnesol, a compound commonly used to flavour food and make perfume, prevents the death of dopamine-producing neurons by deactivating PARIS, a different protein that fosters the gradual progression of Parkinson’s. Without the protective effect of these neurons, movement and cognition becomes impaired, giving rise to the tremor, muscle rigidity, confusion and dementia associated with the progressive disorder

What can we, PWP do to encourage and support Cure Parkinson’s to pursue farnesol as a potential Parkinson’s treatment? It is my intention to make the same inquiry with John Hopkins.
Good Afternoon JayPwP, it would be great if someone from the "Health Unlocked" community could find a palatable source that is of significant quantity that would be of some benefit in trying. I mean no extreme excessive quantity, but some meaningful amount. As others that have replied have mentioned, if it is in fruit, berries, herbs, etc, surely there must be somewhere or some way of finding out how much is in each fruit or herb. What other medical uses has it been tried for? If there has been others, then there must be a certain amount that would trigger some benefit. I am still researching to find somewhere it has been used in certain distinguishing quantities to ascertain how much is safe and what product has the most amount. Thanks for the posting this article.
Farnesol is a sesquiterpene alcohol that exists widely in fruits such as peaches, vegetables such as tomatoes and corn, herbs such as lemon grass and chamomile, and in the essential oils of ambrette seeds and citronella
I have sent an e-mail to this company, requesting more information and I am waiting for a reply. I will post the answer about whether this is for human consumption or whether they know of another Farnesol product that is for consumption.
Before my neurologist told me I was doomed on April 2nd I was feeling as good as I had ever felt in my life. Good to know my brain is still working (but today I forgot what kind of car I own. Just the name of it. It's an Element. Only had is 17 years).

If you order this from Amazon, I am not sure that they will ship it on ice or have kept it frozen. I was reading somewhere else that Farnesol must be kept frozen and shipped on ice. Also, on another website, here are the warnings about Farnesol which I have cut and pasted below. It is not clear to me that it is safe to ingest:_______________
Farnesol is in blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, peaches, tomatoes, corn and more, but would it require us to eat thousands of these fruits to receive the same amount of farnesol as used in this Johns Hopkins study? I wish I knew.
