Antifungal agent farnesol effective in Parkinson’s?

If an anti fungal agent is effective in stopping Parkinson’s then ask, is Parkinson’s induced or made worse by fungus? Is there fungus among us?

Is candida a contributor to or cause of Parkinson’s? If an anti fungal agent like farnesol stops Parkinson’s then could it be stopping a fungus causing Parkinson’s?

Mold has been shown to contribute to ALZ.

Metal toxicity contributes to brain problems.

Could Parkinson’s be caused in part by a fungus?

🤔 Fungal infections take hold when the immune system is compromised e.g. HIV/AIDS and cancer. Lends support to the concept that NDDs are autoimmune or are they actually cancer??? Is cancer actually a fungal infection 🤔

Just realized, Trehalose is also anti fungal. Then I found this video about Farnesol

I am not surprized...

A majority of the PwP I met had Seborrheic dermatitis all over the face - and guess what? It's caused by fungus.

Thanks, matcharoe.

Another PD / fungal connection. I have not had a chance to read this in its entirety.

Has anybody figured out how to get edible Farnesol? Last I checked the only possibly edible Faresol I found was on Ali Baba.

Dietary sources that contain farnesol are many fruits such as plums, blueberries, apricots, raspberries, peaches tomatoes and strawberries and herbs like lemon grass and chamomile (121, 122), and the essential oils of citronella and ambrette seeds (123).

Organic compound farnesol reduces disease severity and onset in mouse model of Multiple Sclerosis dc.ewu.edu/cgi/viewcontent.....

Anti fungal activity is something I focus on. Hence my Zeolite, S Boulardii, Chamomile, Cinnamon, Lactobacillus Casei Shirota, Licorice, Nigella Sativa.

You reminded me of one of the reasons I use Chamomile Flowers for my apigenin: It is anti-fungal. Parsley may be also.

must be careful with licorice, it can lower blood pressure.

in reply to Basih101

Licorice raises blood pressure. It does not lower it.

Hubby was tested for mycotoxins. Very high ochratoxin. Disturbingly mine was even worse! And I don’t have PD. I blame our firewood being old and also gardening . I had a load of compost delivered and moved it around the garden.

Higher amount of toxin in PWP
