Mannitol v Xylitol

It is difficult to purchase Mannitol in my country, but Xylitol is readily available. Does is have the same benefits as Mannitol for PD?

It does increase butyrate levels, but personally I don't think it's as good for some reason. When I substituted it my symptoms got slightly worse . It's certainly worth a try though if you can't get Mannitol. If nothing else I find its very good for your teeth.

Hi Sara, have you tried eBay for mannitol. I’ve ordered two lots on eBay recently when the importer of the Sosa brand out of Spain ran out. It’s been fine.
