I have never experienced that with Azilect but I did with Carbidopa (C/L). It made a big difference, but it was the generic that worked better than the original.
Yes. This is the first time I have ever noticed a difference between a generic and the original, but when the pharmacist gave me generic rasagiline I noticed the difference within a few days.
Thanks for letting me know. Just curious what you noticed - were some symptoms returning or worsening or did you feel crummy?
It's almost two years ago so I can't remember exactly, but I think my tremor was worse. On Azilect and Madopar it has just about disappeared. We are so lucky here in Australia. I pay $6.60 Aus (more like $5US) and when I reach a certain amount all meds are free.
I have no issues with azilect but when given generic i felt unwell. Not really affecting my PD but general health, a i dont feel well feeling. I put it down to the coating of the pills. Bk on a azilect and all is well
I was just given a prescription for Azilect. My insurance through my pharmacy is $486 for 30 days. Where does anyone buy theirs from. Any side effects? Thx
Hi there. I didn’t notice the difference with Azilect or generic but definitely notice the difference with different generic companies for my Cd/Ld. I have a pharmacist that will special order the generic manufacturer that works the best for me. Karen
Kwinholt,Can you find out the manufacturer?
Thank you Karen. It makes a difference.
My generic rasagiline made me feel quite unwell and I think worsened my symptoms. I'm in the process of returning to the branded option that was mild but good for me.
