I wish to draw to your attention a post called "DYSAUTONOMIA or AUTONOMIC DYSFUNCTION" written by Rwor and an answer in that post by SilentEchoes

Finally an answer ,, worth reading

healthunlocked.com/parkinso...

Here is a copy of a common definition which I believe to be incorrect:

"Dysautonomia or autonomic dysfunction is a condition in which the autonomic nervous system (ANS) does not work properly. This may affect the functioning of the heart, bladder, intestines, sweat glands, pupils, and blood vessels. Dysautonomia has many causes, not all of which may be classified as neuropathic.[4] A number of conditions can feature dysautonomia, such as Parkinson's disease, HIV/AIDS, multiple system atrophy, autonomic failure, postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, Ehlers-Danlos syndrome,[5] autoimmune autonomic ganglionopathy, and autonomic neuropathy. "

What is being said in the referenced post as I can best determine is that the reverse is the real truth. This makes a lot more sense (to me any way )

Thank you for pointing this out. I strongly feel the same as you. I usually ghost this site but when I read the first post implying that PD caused ANS dysfunction, I wanted to shout out that, no, it is the other way around . . . so glad that you did it for me. This is not a small point.
