Experience with Vit B1 thiamine indicates one can easily buy the wrong one, so I'm hoping someone can help with these choices
I'm on this site, there are a few Turmeric brands with different strengths and add-ons but i've got no cllue which is the right one for PwP. amazon.co.uk/gp/search?tag=...
As far as turmeric is concerned you want one that contains either piperine or black pepper extract (same thing). It increases the availability of the curcumin.
Magnesium is also excellent for maintaining regularity. I take a single capsule 4 or 5 days out of the week. I know constipation is an unwelcome symptom for many.
Curcumin with bio perine is what i use. Works fast but doesnt last long though. I havent found much luck with magnesium malate personally. For b vitamins i go with one called b right. I like it a lot.
There is no specific great supplement brand for Parkinson's for each of those that’s what the challenge is with supplements. For me the B vitamins have to be methylated because I’m MTHFR i like Pure Encapsulations - B-Complex Plus - Balanced B Vitamin Formula with Metafolin® L-5-MTHF and Vitamin B12-60 Capsules
And I prefer Drake.com Tumeric essential oil for my Tumeric supplement, and I think the best and most absorbable by your body magnesium is Dr. Carolyn Dean’s product She wrote the bestseller book the magnesium miracle rnareset.com
Those are purely my preferences on all three of those you just have to figure out what works for you best! And yes, unfortunately, that gets expensive.
MTHFR is a gene mutation that affects the body's ability to use folic acid or folate & increases risk of disease. MTHFR is an enzyme that adds a methyl group to folic acid to make it usable by the body. The MTHFR gene produces this enzyme that is necessary for properly using vitamin B9. This enzyme is also important for converting homocysteine into methionine, which the body needs for proper metabolism and muscle growth and which is needed for glutathione creation . The process of methylation also involves the enzyme from the MTHFR gene, so those with a mutation may have trouble effectively eliminating toxins from the body.
The b1 complex and the magnesium are the ones used by one of the members but I use the ones recommended by Roy..vitacost...300 capsules and I use the solar magnesium. I prefer capsules as I find Big tablets difficult to swallow
