Radium Therapy?

A friend of mine is considering going for radium therapy for pd. He is not very sure what it entails, he thinks it is a very fine focused laser which can be used to destroy some part of the brain. Does anyone know anything about that?

Hi Celtics, don't know anything about this treatment. But since PD is already doing its best to upset brain function, think I would be very reluctant to interfere! Don't think it is a standard treatment, but others here may know more.

I suggest re-checking with your friend to make sure "radium" is the correct description.
