Anyone feel that their PT is not translating well to everyday life? My husband is attending 2 x week and does RSBoxing 2 x week. He is no better for it. He is still stumbling around & "nearly" falling often, with one really bad fall that he couldn't get up from. For reference he has attended sessions for the last 3 years and has had different therapists...of course, some are better than others.

I would suggest he stick with it -- because exercise is the only thing everybody agrees is beneficial.
Plus, there is nothing to compare a therapy to, i.e., he may be doing worse if he stopped - compared to what?
2 or 3/week probably isn't enough. I've read that everyone needs at least 2.5 hours/week = 30 mins/day, 5 days/week minimum for it to be beneficial.
I try to exercise everyday and I try to do both aerobic (45 mins) and something else.
I've been doing Rock Steady Boxing 3 times a week for 14 years. It works, but you have to really work at it. The coaches should see that you do a little more than what you think you can do. Golf would still be good for him. It's good to keep doing things with friends. Maybe he could schedule golf at a different time than boxing.
That would be helpful if you were his "cornerman". If he's able to go by himself, you wouldn't have to go all the time, maybe just the first few times OR you can workout with him.
I'm no expert maybe try more frequent exercise maybe a static bike I think 2.5 hours is adequate good luck

Agree that I have seen and have experienced boxing provide most benefit for slowing and some cases slightly reverse symptoms. I do 7 days a week of exercise and it works. From the presentations I have seen 5 days a week minimum for exercise and 7 preferably. DailyDosePD.com has helped fill in some of those days. A quote I read recently is Parkinson’s is an “athletic event”. Points about always having to push just a little bit more really work. Though as it is y’all just keep at it as a team.
Consensus seems to be , exercise works but not as well if it is not forced.

Yes, exercise seems to be the answer from all of the replies. What I meant about golfing and exercising in the same day is that he gets tired very easily. So he thinks if he works out in the morning, he won't be able to golf that day. He poops out by the 14th hole anyway according to my sons. He was dx at age 58 and is 61 now. He just has no energy.
I do like your description of golf however, lol. And yes, the social interaction is good for him.
