I take 1/4 tsp upon waking, and about 1 hour later I begin to get tired. Does anyone else have this reaction ? I'm thinking that maybe t would be better to take it before bed time ?

Yes indeed, it will make you sleepy and you will have deep, restful sleep.

I take Mucuna at night, so I welcome the deep sleep.

I took it in the AM to reduce tremors and anxiety...now I have to rethink this.

There are smaller dosage capsules that may help with AM tremors and anxiety. I've tried them all. In fact, just to be able to sit in the early evening and play cards with friends, I take a 45% Mucuna (Velvet Bean Extract). That should help you. There are all dosages of Mucuna, but I found 15% did nothing for me.

Same things happened to me this week. Took about a 1/4 tspn. In the morning. Felt like i got hit by a bus. So sleepy. Fighting slee all day. Used to take it before bed all the time. I assume It’s doing what it’s supposed to do i.e. is efficacious in turning Into dopamine and serotonin. Because that was not natural tiredness. I’ll try before bed this weekend and see what happens. (Interestingly the next day I was Filled with energy and felt super awake more than usual.)

I take a ton when I'm out, and feel semi decent, but when I'm at home anything over 75 - 100mg makes me feel like I am spacey.

That's good to know. Maybe it just takes some time to get the body used to. Now I've started taking it at night so the sleep issue isn't a problem...

I take three capsules a day now and if I take too much it makes me sleepy. I never thought about taking it at night to help with sleep because that’s a problem for me. I think I will give that a try. It does seem to help with tremor.
