Neurologist has prescribed my first PD medication as follows: 12.5/50mg once daily increasing dose by 1 tablet every 5 days to a max of 3 tablets per day.
My neurologist is aware that i would prefer to take. Mucuna so in that vein is anyone prepared to take a s;tab at the amount of mucuna required to replace one tablet of Madopar. My maths sucks hence the ask; and please keep it simple!

No but I'd be interested to see how your taking of MP goes. Sorry you've had no responses yet. But do let me know if you find an answer to your question. What % of MP does your product offer?
I swapped my 12.5/50 madopar for Solaray DopaBean mucuna capsules one by one. I felt no difference to what it gave me, if anything, I've been feeling better! I buy it from iherb.com
Flattered Beaniedannyiffy! I am not the PwP, my husband is. He is in a state of denial, and it's hard to deal with him. He was dx in March of this year. His symptoms are just a RH tremor and bradykinesia. Neurologist didn't prescribe any meds yet, but I have started him on MP extract 700mg, 20% L-Dopa, two capsules a day. He is doing OK. Soon (next week), he will start the B1 vitamin injections. According to Dr. Costantini, he must have 100mg injections twice a week. Hope and pray he will react favorably to this protocol.
