Mucuna dosage

I'm new to the forum and was diagnosed in September. I'd like to know if anyone has experience taking the powdered form of mucuna, what your daily dosage is and what supplement you're taking with it.

Hi

I have been taking 1 flat teaspoon of certified organic Mucuna twice a day, also taking NAC 2000mg and Chinese Herbs recently added topical Magnesium oil, all in all being 1 year since diagnosis still active and doing well , I am tremor dominant which seems worse in the morning but doesn't stop me doing anything

Hope this helps

I changed my diet to total GF

One yr later I do not have any hand tremors or eye watering

I have gone from not being able to walk 100mts to now walking every morning 3 to 5 & some time 6 kilometres (1.6 kilometres to a mile)

I am now competely Gluten Free

I'm just saying it has helped me but not telling anyone what they should eat

Hi,

I've been on a Mucuna regime for over a year, and it seems to work ok. I went through it with Dr. Cargioli in Indiana, he's about £2K for a year's consultation .

I use 98% pure Mucuna LDopa. My dosage and supplements are as follows.

6am. 1.4g Mucuna. 1g Tyrosene. 1Neororeplete. 800mcg Folate. 100mg vit.b6

10am. 1.4g Mucuna. 1g Tyrosene . 1Cysreplete. 100mg vit.b6

2pm. 1.4g Mucuna. 2g Tyrosene. 1Cysreplete. 1 Neuroreplete. 800mcg Folate . 100mg vit.b6

The daily dose of Mucuna should be in the range 2-7g. Do not exceed.

Daily Neuroreplete should be in the range 1-5. Adjust by trial and error to alleviate nausea.

Start Mucuna below 2g / day and increase gradually until symptoms wane or Max is reached.

This worked for me, but we are all different. It's a scandal that our regular doctors are of little help, and that we have to go through all this rigmarole of treating ourselves.

This is a good site, and I have embarked on their diet; can't hurt. :-)

God Bless.

Do they say what the maximum is for mucuna? It takes 2 scoops for me to see any relief in my tremors.

For 98% pure the daily maximum is around 7grams. For raw Mucuna it's impossible to say, as the LDopa amount is not known. It's generally thought to be around 10 - 15 %

Few days ago I started following Harley Bob regiment. Thank you Harley Bob for sharing. It took me a while to gather up all the stuff. Twice a day I am taking .7 of 98% mucuna and about 1.2 of l-tyrosine, and each time I follow all the other recommendations. I am still fairly disabled, having problems with my balance, some tremor but I honestly feel I'm doing better. Also I do have freezing episodes. I did start also ME-3 and I am taking Mannitol. Lots of money I really don't have. What the medical establishment wants is for you to shut up and take your pills. Mary

Thank you all for your replies. It seems like everyone does something different because each situation is different. Hearing what other people do is helpful but I'll have to experiment to find what works for me.
