hi everyone I’m new here.

I need advice.

I have had multiple tests which were negative (colonoscopy, gastroscopy, mri on small bowel, stool test, blood tests) a few of my blood tests have shown a raise in crp but apart from that everything is normal. Normal is a good thing but it’s annoying as I’m having all these symptoms without an answer.

My symptoms are:

Blood in stool

Mucus in stool

Bowel incontinence

Serve abdomen pain

Mild fevers (37.7 which is not my normal)

Fainting- because of pain.

Sickness

The pain and sickness has been constant since November 2022 blood, mucus and fainting started January/ February. The bowel incontinence started the beginning of this month.

the doctors don’t know what it is now that my tests results are all normal. I need some advice to help me get diagnosed.

Dark blood in stool is a huge concern so I am hoping it’s fresh blood. I pass quite a bit of blood with stool due to a fissure and hemorrhoids. The only study I see not done was pill camera. To really get into small bowel. Delayed gastric emptying can also show if your actual stomach is working. If it isn’t (like mine), it could be gastroparesis. It means your stomach doesn’t move or contract to help digest. The mucous you mention sounds like SIBO (looks like mucous but is fat deposits). There is a test for it, but my GI just gave me samples of a very expensive antibiotic called xifaxan that targets the small bowel only. I get it about twice a year. Lastly, have you asked about a rheumatoid work up? This is just a giant blood test. Showing a high positive ANA titer got me into rheumatology. My life depends on both my rheumatologist and GI. I have microscopic colitis and two other autoimmune disorders. Last thing…..sometimes gallbladder issues pop up out of no where and can appear all GI. The scan for this would be hydascan to see if your bile is working correctly. This happened to my sister with the very same symptoms. She had it pulled out and her life returned to normal. Just wanted to share a few thoughts. I didn’t do pill cam until year two of three because I had to pay out of pocket. Saved my life to find the gastroparesis!

I have had a couple of dark blood which has made my stools go black- everything was checked out and showed up normal. Apart from them I mainly have fresh red blood.
