My wife and I are hoping to retire to Spain in 2022 depending on what happens post brexit! My wife suffers with Crohn's Disease and is taking the medication Humira. She currently gets this medication free in the UK on the NHS can anyone help me with with any information if Humira or a Humira substitue is availabe on prescription in Spain or will we have to pay for it? I know its a very expensive drug so if we do have to pay for it then it may end our dreams of retiring to Spain. Any help would be great fully received.

I feel sorry you have had no replies, but so much is up in the air, until the Brexit deal is finalised I do not think we can have an idea of what will happen. I know with me, I cannot live where I would like to, one is the cost of my medication and the other is the possible cost of surgery for the Crohn's Disease, bummer really.
