Hi, I was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease following a bowel obstruction and Hemi colectomy in 1996. I was then diagnosed after many years of problems with my joints with enteropathic arthritis in 2016. I would be interested to hear about anybody else’s experience of this.
Many thanks

Hi, I too have crohns and entoropathic arthritis. After years and years of joint pains in arms, hands, legs and feet, I was referred to rheumatologist. She carried out ultrasounds on my hands and diagnosed with enteropathic arthritis. Xrays and mri's showed that other joints affected too.
I have been on methotrexate which rheumy prescribed for about 4 years. It helps quite a bit but will still suffer day after doing my shifts at work. I take oramorph for bad pain, but I tend not yo use it unless I really have to. Im due to start stelera after this pandemic as crohns has not been under control for months.
My gastro and rheumy liaise with each other which makes things so much easier.
Fortunately its the same meds for crohns thst is used for the arthritis. Its just a matter of finding which is best for you x
I suffer from chrohns and reactive arthritis (much like entoropathic). I was on methotrexate but was switched to plaquinel to help lower the amount of mouth sores I had betting. It seems to have helped so far and with everything going on in the world with this virus now I am glad that I had been put on this new drug as they are useing it as one of the treatments
