Cold weather

Hi, does the cold weather affect anyone? I've got UC and I've had stomach cramps the last few days. Not sure if the cold weather is affecting me. Might be just a coincidence, but I just wondered if anyone else felt the same.

Hi brummie321, I've had UC but now have Crohn's, I can't say I noticed that the weather affected mine although I had 2 very bad flare ups and the weather was very warm on both occasions. Sorry that's not much help.

That's a big yes it does ! My stomach gets so sore and painful when it's cold. I use heat pads or hot water bottles and it helps

Hi, I use hot water bottles too. My hands and feet are always cold which doesn't really help.

I have Crohn's disease and every year when the cold starts so do my symptoms.

I try to keep as warm as possible by layering up

Yess!!! I have UC and I thought it was only me whose symptoms worsen when it's cold!! my flare-ups get worse in colder weather so I always layer up!
