Headache after running?
I was getting severe migraine headaches after running, but they were only happening on Saturdays after Parkrun. I've looked at what I've been eating and drinking, and have come to the conclusion that I was eating too much breakfast too soon before the run.
I had been eating 2 weetabix and a banana at about 7.30 before setting off for the Parkrun (9am start). This week I only had a banana, cup of tea and a glass of water, and this week didn't get a migraine.
Strangely I never suffer when I run later in the day, but mostly it's at least 3 hours after a meal, but I will often have a banana half an hour before running.
Possibly dehydration????? You may need to drink truck loads more than you are already to recover?!?!
I too get migraines, sometimes after running, so I'll try eating less beforehand too - thanks.
Generally, I don't run if I feel a bit headachy or delicate (I mean, I have days when I know I have to be careful or I could easily trigger a migraine). Or if I do I take it easy.
