I am watching it from my sofa today and completely in see of everyone running it. I would so love to be able to do it one day.....
London Marathon: I am watching it from my sofa... - Couch to 5K
London Marathon
Be careful what you wish for!! Yes the elite runner's are awesome! I'm watching too....
Sue
They'll be running past the end of my street shortly so heading out soon to watch. Great day for it.
Just shed a tear too watching the scene of these thousands of runners in total silence observing the minute silence for Boston. Quite emotional....
I know, and the marathon stories of people and who they are raising money for. Very emotional x
They are incredible! This time last year I wouldn't have contemplated running let alone a marathon....but it actually looks like it could be fun Did I really just say that?! x
It would truly be the most amazing thing to do it one day!
feeling very humbled... when I see them all running, especially when the elite runners are doing 5k in 14 minutes
Can honestly say I will never run a marathon
Watching the London marathon on TV, so inspirational and what an amazing atmosphere!
I'm doing W8R1 later on this evening and I can honestly say that seeing these runners has spurred me on...!
Who knows it might be us in the future?!?
I will never run a marathon, its only a dream for me But I was down to our Parkrun yesterday morning to do a duty, we held a 30 second silence for Boston too.
I managed a chat with a fellow Parkrun runner who ran the Paris Marathon two weeks ago, her face lit up when I asked how she had got on as I hadn't been able to find her on the listing results, no bloomin wonder I couldn't find her. She had said she hoped to run it in 5 hours give or take 10 minutes, her time was 4 hrs 39 minutes, she had knocked 30 minutes off her PB for marathon. What a result, we are all very proud of her as she is herself.
I always watch it, and always feel emotional, especially at the beginning when you see the thousands of runners walking down ready to start the marathon. It's inspiring and what a day for it today! London must be electrifying.
I wonder if any of our graduates were running? I'm still only (I say only but this is HUGE considering my state of fitness at the beginning of January!) managing 5k but from somewhere behind the gremlins a tiny voice is saying 'why not one day?' Eeek!
Khrissy - that's what I keep thinking! I never thought I'd get to running for half an hour - in what felt like a short time so who knows! This running thing is very addictive....
