Well that's W7 done and dusted. I had a really bad nights sleep and wasn't feeling that good this morning, so I changed my route. I would really advise people to do this when feeling not so hot. What a difference I did on road and off road running and didn't think about my breathing or steps once. I couldn't believe it when Laura said 5 minutes to go. I even ran the last 5 mins faster
This is also day 7 of 5x50 and my legs were feeling a bit tired, but after that I felt great. Taking a different route is a bit of an eye-opener. Laura suggests doing it but I was quite happy with the route I was doing, but now I'm ready to try other ones over the last few weeks of the programme.
Monday is W8R1 and I hope all goes well. Tomorrow I have a 16km walk and the rest of the week is planned for the challenge. I can't believe how much I'm enjoying this exercising lark Good luck to the rest of you for the following week

Well done Rockchick. I changed my route a couple of times when I'd had to stop on a run so that I didn't get to the same bit and give in to the gremlins and stop again.
I too seem to be much more alive/brighter since starting this challenge, long may it continue
That's great - well done I like sussing out new routes for a run, and it really breaks up the boredom for me. A 16k walk tomorrow sounds like quite a challenge - I'm impressed! Hope it goes well.
Well done! I also found changing my route helped when I was struggling, I even added in a hill on a run that felt really slow (and it turned out it wasn't slow at all!)
I am also enjoying the 5x50, felt tired today but my quick 5.45mile bike ride before dinner has invigorated me! Hope it carries on like this; will be back to running tomorrow as the calf seems ok
