Would running be harder when tired?

I completed wk 1 today, yay, but i found it harder than run 2, i have been really tired this afternoon so i wondered if that would have had an affect? From the 5th minute i had to force myself not to stop, so im now not sure whether to move to wk2 or redo a couple of sessions on wk 1. Any advice would be great. Thanks. Natalie

Yes, go with your instincts, if you are tired it is bound to feel harder. However, it is worth still running if you feel tired because sometimes you feel more invigorated when you have finished. Good luck.

If you managed to complete all the running intervals, then definitely move onto week 2. You may find the next run much easier - good runs and bad runs are all part of the programme :-)

Well done for getting out there and running when you feel tired. The mental challenge with c25k is at least as tough as the physical one. ;)

If you've successfully completed all the runs in week 1 then it is definitely time to move on to week 2. :) I always found I doubted my abiltiy to move on each week and then surprised myself. Hopefully you won't feel so tired on your next run, but if you do then giving it a go is better than giving up before you even start. :) You can always repeat a run later if you feel the need. Thank you, yes i have completed all runs this week, so will give wk 2 a go on monday then (specific days work well for me). I was doubting my ability but will give it ago. Thanks again. Natalie

Oh definitely, however tough it was, if you completed it, move on.

There's been a funny fortunately short lived bug about lately making people feel unusually tired.

I think I would be right in saying there is probably not one single person on this site who has not found at least one run hard to do. Tiredness being a big problem, bad diet that day, bad weather, heavy feeling legs. I could go on and on with reasons why a run can be harder but put it behind you and move on. If you don't manage the next stage then is the time to perhaps re-run. Remember that this programme has been tried and tested and if you look and see how many Graduates you can find you will know that it works. Good luck and let us know how it goes.
