What is it about this site that means links from it do not work?

Seems to happen often.

I should have made it clear I wasn't referring to your post in particular, I know I've tried posting links for others to find this site and it hasn't worked.

Also I've seen other mentions of this weight loss page on here and those links didn't either. I'm no techie but have never noticed such a problem before and thought it might be something to do with the site itself.

it wqould be nice if we had admin support for this forum that worked as fast!!! (ie getting our green badges when we graduate).

Well said! I await mine also :(

Hi PeaBea,

Let me look into that for you. We've recently had a staff changeover which may have affected this.

Thanks. I have only just asked for my badge but I know that others have waited sometime.

If the wait is that long, can I apply for mine now?

I only have three Weeks to go....

Hey, Fingalo - where are you? Has the snow gone down south now?

Fingalo profile image

Hi Greeners. Snow was gone earlier in the week so I ran on Wednesday and Saturday, I just haven't written up yesterday yet as I've not had the time.

How have you been getting on?

Glad you're still out there running - it seems a bit quiet on here when you're away!

Wk 7 day 1 done today - didn't enjoy it too much, but it's done now. Hopefully the same thing again in 2 days time will be easier.

Still it's two 25 minute runs under your belt, must feel good?

I've changed how I talk about this thing now, I used to say I loved running but always knew that wasn't quite right. I now say I love that I run, a subtle but significant difference.

The 25s have been easier than that b8888r of a 20, to be honest, once past the first ten - and we know we can do that bit, don't we? Still.... :o

Almost looking forward to my first 25 minuter tomorrow. Gutted about that snow as despite the advice to the contrary, I would have continued with long runs with no walking were it not for the enforced break, my confidence after the 20 was so high.

Now I feel almost as if I'm starting again. I'm sure it works for others but I feel it's set me back and as so much of this is in the mind, I think Week 6 a bit of a disaster in this programme.

Now, now! The programme didn't know it would snow! I had 8 days between the 20 and the 25 runs, and it was fine.

Anyway, in the Runner's World that I bought on a whim yesterday (£4.50 whim - don't think I'll do that again, I'd rather have a book) a very experienced runner/coach said you don't lose any fitness in a week off. And you haven't had a week off anyway.

Lecture over. :)

Ha ha! You've taken me up wrong I think, what I mean is that the six days off was enough for the confidence I had after my 20 to fade. To such a degree that I no longer felt so certain about ignoring runs 1 and 2 and doing my own thing. I'm nothing like I was before the 20 though and am quite looking forward to the feeling I'll have once I complete it. Thanks for the pep talk though, on second thoughts, perhaps you got me right after all.
